Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance are conducting a census of the primary care cancer-facing workforce, including both registered and unregistered (supportive) nursing and Allied Health Professional (AHP) colleagues. We’re looking to understand workforce needs in existing programmes, such as screening, and to begin to explore how we might be able to support from a business planning or system-wide professional development perspective.
Understanding the roles that colleagues are undertaking and the cancer related activities whilst doing so will help us plan better support, including around professional training and workforce resilience, to help improve patient experience of care and the experience of staff working within our system. As this is the first time we have collected this data, we would be grateful for your support in completing the census as we look to improve the support we can offer to our cancer workforce.
